Blue Sky Measurements, Inc. was formed in 2020 to develop technical solutions for environmental challenges facing the Oil and Gas Industry. The company is built on a foundation of successful technical, field and business experience. With the introduction of NIRview®, Blue Sky Measurements will provide oil and gas producers a powerful new tool to assist in the ongoing effort to reduce harmful emissions

Blue Sky Measurements Leadership

John S. Lievois, Ph.D. P.E.
CEO

Prior to forming Blue Sky Measurements, John spent 33 years in the oil and gas service sector. John was with Weatherford International for the last 23 years where he served since 2011 as Director of the Flow Measurement group. John is an internationally recognized expert in multiphase metering and production well testing. John holds multiple US and international patents related to flow measurement and infrared sensors.

 

John graduated with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in 1987 from Rice University and a B.S. in Chemistry in 1981 from the University of Michigan.

James E. Lievois
President

Prior to forming Blue Sky Measurement, Jim had a 39-year career in the automotive business. In 2021, Jim retired from Mazda North American Operations as Executive Vice President in charge of U.S. Operations and a member of the Board. Prior to his EVP role, Jim served as MNAO’s SVP/CFO.

Jim brings executive leadership along with a wide range of operating and financial expertise to Blue Sky Measurements.

Jim graduated with a B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University in 1980 and received an MBA in 1982 from the University of Detroit.

Cliff Hawkins
VP Technology

Cliff Hawkins joined Blue Sky Measurements with more than 40 years of experience spanning several industries including oil & gas, metrology, and environmental remediation. Cliff is an electrical engineer with advanced expertise in the design of complex electrical, optical, and acoustic measurement systems. Prior to his current role with BSM, Cliff worked for Weatherford International for 12 years where he served as a Principal Engineer.

Cliff received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston in 1986.
