In September 2021, Blue Sky Measurements completed a successful initial test program of NIRview at Colorado State University’s Methane Emissions Technology Evaluation Center (METEC). METEC is a unique testing site originally designed to support the testing of next-generation leak detection and quantification methods. METEC uses real oilfield equipment to simulate real-world emissions. Blue Sky was able to use the METEC facility to test NIRview’s methane detection and measurement capabilities over a range of emission rates from a variety of sources.

The METEC team and their facility serve an essential role in the development and validation of cutting edge emissions measurement technology. Blue Sky appreciates the support we received from the whole METEC team.
